Cameron Smith's Greatest Year at 34
OUR SEPTEMBER SUPERSTAR IS CAMERON SMITH
2017 has to be Cameron Smith's best year of his career, so far.
Playing his entire career with his beloved Storm, Smith was recently crowned the 2017 Dally M Medal winner. Currently, he is The Storm, Maroons and Australian Kangaroos captain.
On 10 March 2017, Smith reached 2000 career points in a match against the New Zealand Warriors, becoming the first forward, the first Queenslander, and just the fifth player in history to have achieved the milestone.
On 9th September, he played his 356th match, making him NRL's most capped player of all time.
To top off one stellar season, in leading his team to thrash the Broncos 30-0 on Friday night, and earn the Storm a spot in the 2017 Grand Final, he became the first NRL player to kick 1000 goals.
What an absolute superstar!
